Understanding the romantic side of tradition.
Taqueria Gabriel is a traditional Mexican taqueria located in México City's Cuauhtémoc neighborhood, distinguished by its wide variety of restaurants, it’s a place filled with abundant history, beliefs, ideas, sounds, smells and flavors, where the key moments of Mexico can be experienced.  Taqueria Gabriel is targeted towards young adults who are looking to enjoy Mexican grilled- cuisine, tacos, beer. drinks, and a classic experience.

Our goal was to bring Northern Mexican cuisine into Mexico City ́s center and capital, developing a casual environment and using “Al Carbón” (charbroiled) as the motto for the importance in flavor, and because it means much more than just cooking; it represents effort, passion and perseverance.

Keeping tradition by revamping its roots.
The branding is focused on modernizing Mexican graphic styles and how their traditional characteristics play on how it is perceived in Mexican culture. The butcher paper also plays an important role, being a constant element used in the space, and places like the printed menu, the food wrap, wall posters and more.

For the interior we chose two of the most used materials in local markets and gastronomical spots around the country: Ceramic tile and stainless steel, we used them as canvas for the interior. Combined together they make the space clean and modern at the same time. For the furniture, we went to the origins of Mexican style and design by choosing a set of classical chairs that speak the traditional language, all 100% made in México. Hand painted signs, branded tables, napkins and neon signs end up bringing the personality of Taqueria Gabriel to life.
